Falklands War veteran Adrian Logan’s military career began in the Royal Air Force before his search for something more challenging took him into the Parachute Regiment. In 1982, serving as a young officer, he sailed south to the Falkland Islands and found himself fighting in the bitter battle for Mount Longdon.
In this episode Adrian reflects on the journey south, the realities of war, being wounded on Mount Longdon and the loss of men around him. But this is also a story about what came afterwards - family, friendship, service and Adrian’s determination to make the most of the life he had been fortunate enough to keep.
